When we go for the middle of the summer season, most of the most anticipated release films of summer 2017 have already hit theaters.
However there is still a year left and there are still premiere movies to see. And there's for all the tastes.
Some premiere films for the second half of the year
King Arthur: The Legend of Excalibur
Guy Richie (Lock and stock, Sherlock Holmes) directs the umpteenth film review on the mythical character of British literature. Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Houson, Jude Law and Eric Bana fill the main roles. The influence of Game of Thrones it seems that it also reached the Knights of the Round Table. It opens today, August 11.
Anabelle: Creation
Horror lovers will have their fair share of attention. It is a prequel to the 2014 film that swept the box office around the world. What started as a spin off of The spell, is on its way to becoming a movie franchise. It opens on September 8.
Tadeo Jones 2: The Secret of King Midas
It finally hits theaters the second adventure of the character created by Valladolid animator Enrique Gato. After the success of the first film, which raised around 60 million Euros, it is hoped that the Spanish “Jones” will be able to keep the public's interest. It opens on August 25.
The dark tower
Another successful Stephen King novel debuts its film version. Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey star in a film whose collection figures, at the moment, do not keep their producers very happy. It opens on August 18.
Valerian and the city of a thousand planets
Frenchman Luc Besson is a risk-loving filmmaker. After the super blockbuster it represented Lucy in 2014, now bet on a space adventure, whose huge budget (almost 200 million Euros), make it the most expensive film shot in Europe. It opens on August 18.
American Assessment
To close the summer premieres, an action film in the "classic" style. Dylan O'Brian (The maze Runner) and Michael Keaton star a tale of murderers, terrorists, revenge and international intrigue. It opens on September 15.
