Over the next few months, skinny pants, the absolute king for several years, will have to face the straight pant revival. Which of the two will end up prevailing? We will have to wait to see what happens, but we have our favorite: the cigarette.
And it is that the skinny pants stylize much more and allows you to get the most out of any shoe. It combines great with sports shoes, shoes and boots, have these the shape they have, something that cannot be said of the straight pants, which in most cases creates an unflattering effect when falling on the shoe, unless we give it a couple of turns upwards, exposing the ankle or the sock, something that is being seen more and more and that happens to be the best way to wear straight pants that currently exists.
This is the effect we mean, really unsightly
At first, they had a hard time convincing us, but once we've tried it, it's hard to imagine going without them. It has become a fundamental part of the look of many men who dress following very different inspirations, from formal to punk, going through hipster or bohemian, so it is arguably the most successful cut to date.
We hope that, despite the fact that straight pants will eventually recover some of the ground lost during all these years, skinny pants continue to be number one and the most numerous in stores and, therefore, also in our closets.
