Inspired by comics, Prada's latest collection offers a balance between youthful carefree and classic pieces.
These are some of the keys to the proposal that the Italian firm has just presented at Milan Men's Fashion Week with a view to spring / summer 2018.
Raised necks
The models did not wear a cape, but they did wear velcro, socks that could be part of a superhero's uniform, and wide, raised collars. The collars of the shirts were one of the focuses of attention of the collection.
Comic prints
Although she has never liked them, Miuccia Prada confesses that lately she has been feeling “more and more attracted to them”, to such an extent that comics have been the source of inspiration to decorate the garments so much (especially zip-up shirts) as accessories in the collection.
Classicism
The comic vignettes brought lightheartedness, while the bird's eye, the spike, and the camel and gray wool they put the elegant note.
Wide shoulders
The Italian firm creates very defined silhouettes. The looks enhance both the waist - using both tapered and straight trousers - and the shoulders. This last part through superior garments that seek horizontality.
Styling monkeys
Monkeys have become Miuccia Prada's latest obsession, by her own admission. A slimmer version with belly pocket that the models wore with the sleeves rolled up to the biceps. Chic mechanics.
