Gosha Rubchinskiy lookbook fall / winter 2017-2018 - Athleisure direct from Russia

The master of sportswear, Gosha Rubchinskiy, has just launched a lookbook from his autumn / winter 2017-2018 collection, presented last January in Kaliningrad, Russia.

The collection is inspired by football –Especially for fans of this sport– to celebrate the World Cup that will be held next summer in the designer and photographer's native country.

Rubchinskiy once again teamed up with the German firm adidas (which for the designer is part of the Russian aesthetic) to create soccer tracksuits that, of course, emanate Soviet style, as evidenced by the red color and its characteristic texts in Cyrillic.

Knitted scarves and jerseys with soccer ball motifs also refer directly to the style of fans of the beautiful game. Athleisure inspiration direct from Russia looking forward to next fall.

A prominent addition to the collection, the berets (designed by Stephen Jones) are combined with sportswear as well as double-breasted, plain and pinstripe suits. Among so many athleisure looks, we also find one in military style. Green shirt and pants are combined with a blue belt.

Other key pieces in the collection are shearling collar bomber jackets and checked shirts. Rubchinskyi shows a special predilection for this last garment, combining it indistinctly with sweatpants, suits and blazers.
