We begin with this a series of articles in which I will talk to you of the protocol in the men's locker room. Currently it is not followed to the letter, except in more formal occasions or in which the dress code is specified. When we are invited to an event in which the label is not indicated on the invitation, we must take into account three key data: time, place and type of event.
Generally the suit is a garment that covers most occasions in the men's locker room. Colors dark are considered more elegant than clear ones, and the latter are usually intended for events in spring or summer. It must be worn with a tie and the vest is optional.
If we talk about male tuxedos we find the following:
- Chaqué, used in morning or afternoon events, until approximately 6 or 8.
- TuxedoIs a party suit, no ceremony, used in evening events, from 6 and 8 in the afternoon.
- Frac , men's suit maximum label. Used in events at night and indoors.
The male label governs the female one and the relationship between the two is as follows:
- The dark suit is associated with the female short suit
- The morning suit with the short suit or cocktail dress
- The tuxedo with cocktail dress or long suit
- Frax mandatorily long female suit
An advice, in a matter of etiquette, when in doubt better to be cautious than excessive.
In the following articles we will talk in depth about each of the tuxedos, describing the pieces that compose it and the situations in which its use is recommended.
