The good weather arrives and it's time for sports and adventure activities, the beach, the pool, etc. During this time of year when the sun is shining at its best, it is important take precautions from the sun's rayseven as we walk around town.
To avoid risks to our skin and health in general, we must take into account some tips to adequately protect ourselves from the sun's rays.
A good sunscreen
Use protector solar. This should be a daily action, even for those who spend most of their time indoors and occasionally go outside.
El product to use must be specific, according to certain variables. For example, people with acne should apply a gel. In the protection of the scalp, hair lotions or sprays are used.
If exposure to sunlight is strong, they should be used broad spectrum protectors, with a protection factor equal to or greater than 30. Those who practice sports or outdoor activities, require solutions that have a greater capacity to protect against solar radiation.
The most appropriate clothing
All the clothing should be loose and thick, preferably made of cotton. It is also recommended to have wide-brimmed hats, in order to protect the ears and neck from the sun.
Safety glasses
Regarding sunglasses, eye specialists advise that they have a Protection index of at least 99% against UVA and UBV rays.
Be cautious, even in the shade. Hiding under a tree or an umbrella does not imply that the skin cannot suffer the effects of sunstroke if it is not adequately protected, especially if it is on the beach. Reflection can be just as damaging as direct exposure, it will be a "silent aggression".
Benefits of water
Hydrate. Must drink plenty of fluids, preferably water. Although we are not aware of it, our body needs more water with the arrival of heat and greater exposure to sunlight.
