Do they combine new technologies with your wardrobe?

Soon there will be no talk of anything other than the wearable technologies. But what the hell are they? They sound like a food supplement or new cookies to lose weight. But no, and we are not talking about futuristic garments the result of the creative madness of some visionary designer.

(Yes, all very "wearable")

No I'm talking about something else practical, what is sought is to incorporate the latest advances to our accessories and that they become part of us like a tie or cufflinks. For a change, many of these advances have already reached the countries around us and will soon become massive. In fact, Amazon UK has already incorporated a section of this new technology making the future something accessible in our homes.

However aesthetically speaking, I am quite afraid of the design of these gadgets. Are they hideous artifacts or will their designs manage to add some flair to our outfits? Can they be easily integrated into our cabinets? Futuristic aesthetics have always horrified me tinged with blacks, radioactive blues and wires everywhere.

(Here the only one who glimpsed an elegant and clear future was Stanley Kubrick)

But the future guys is here and the "Wearables" they are the great example. These electronic technologies are defined by integrate into our clothing and accessories and they seek to be worn comfortably in our body. Its design incorporates practical functions that make our lives much easier: answering calls, accessing the internet, counting calories ...

How are we going to combine this? Will we be ashamed to wear it?

I am going to analyze three of the gadgets that you will soon be thinking of buying.

  1. Google Glass

I've always been super review and I have laughed at each and every joke that has been made since Google announced its invention. However, seeing this boy does not look bad at all. Although it is hard for me to see that one day this could be "fashion", when Luxottica, owner of Ray-Ban and Oakley give it your design touch I'm sure I'll buy my words and we'll all end up like Parker.

(Sarita is always in the latest fashion)

    How can we combine them?
It is clear that as they evolve they will be reduced in size and the design will be more and more beautiful and small. The shape they have right now cannot be considered an accessory as such. I will wait to see who among you will become the first brave to take them out on the street.

  2. Moto 360 Smartwatch

Smart watches have been talked about for a long time, but this one Motorola takes the cake. Is really precious.
Its round, elegant, steel, waterproof, wireless design… I love that idea of not having to pick up your phone all the time to look at your messages or emails, you just have to turn your wrist.

    How can we combine it?
In this case, they have known to adapt futuristic technology with a design of classic shapes in pretty pieces. I don't think it will help us to leave our cell phone at home and reduce our dependence on our smartphone, but it is certainly an incredible piece. With a suit, a shirt, a minimalist set lightly charged will be the ideal thing to make your new smartwatch stand out.

  3. UP24 by Jawbone

This is one of the many bracelets that promise improve our life daily helping us to be healthier. It measures how we sleep, what we walk, and the calories we eat. To do this, you just have to have the bracelet connected to your smartphone. It is already available and I predict that it will be one of the great gifts this Christmas.

    How can we combine it?
It looks a lot like the rubber bracelets that were so fashionable a couple of years ago (argg ...) but with a minimalist design and with original colors that will not give you that image of tech gadget geek. It is small, discreet, it does not have a screen ... Now, I am sure that to be effective it will have to be worn 24 hours a day. If your friend of fashion, you always get tired of wearing the same watch no matter how beautiful and expensive it is, you will finish tiring to always wear the wristband.

To combine it however, there would not be much problem. It has a simple and sporty look that will go well with any slightly casual outfit like a bomber jacket with a white t-shirt or the classic jean and sweater ensemble.

My final verdict:

Always a bit skeptical of them, today I try to keep open mind And it is no longer difficult for me to see that wearables will become mainstream. Although many of them have not yet arrived in Spain, we will soon be assaulted by articles and strategies of ways to combine and incorporate these elements in our wardrobe. The designs will be refined and I have no doubt that big fashion houses they will start to introduce their ideas into smart watches. Or maybe not, and all these inventions will end up like my weights in a box in the back of the closet.
