How to make a homemade lemoncello?

El lemoncello, originally from Italy, is very popular in our country and they usually give it to you in restaurants after lunch, as an aperitif.

But for those who want to make it at home to have it ready in the refrigerator for any occasion, we tell you that it is a very easy liquor to make, it will only take a while to macerate.

Ingredients:
7 large lemons
1 liter of alcohol
1.300 kg of sugar
3 liters of water

How do I do it?

First we must peel all the lemons well, removing the peel in order to remove a little of the white part of the lemons. Then, we put all those crusts in a glass container with the alcohol and cover it and let it rest for twelve days in a very dark place. After those twelve days, a soft syrup is made with 450 grams of sugar for each liter of water.

The proportion so that the liquor is correctly made is 3 liters of syrup for each liter of alcohol. When the syrup is done we let it cool and then we add the alcohol that we had prepared before and we will have a greenish-yellow drink, which is typical of limoncello. The limoncello is ready to drink cold and cool on a hot summer day.

If you want you can vary the lemons for oranges and you will have a naranchelo.
