Gucci takes a retro-space trip in its new campaign

Since Alessandro Michele came to creative direction, Gucci's ad campaigns struggle to live up to the aestheticism of their acclaimed designs.

Although it is not an easy task, they are managing not to be left behind. The theme of the one related to autumn / winter 2017-2018 are the old school sci-fi movies and series, like 'Star Trek':

Having shown a knack for capturing the essence of Michele's designs in photo and video, it is no wonder that fashion photographer and filmmaker Glen Luchford is once again responsible for this psychedelic new campaign, as has already been the case with previous.

On this occasion, Gucci kids share the limelight with aliens, giant cats, dinosaurs and even the monster from the movie 'Creature from the Black Lagoon'.

Since it is inspired by both the future and the past (often melding them through the combination of disparate elements, but almost miraculously, they work and make sense) this retro-futuristic setting is perfect for you in the style of Michele.

Fall / winter 2017-2018 is a genderless collection in which we find a lot of shine, oriental motifs, punk inspiration and numerous and varied accessories for the head. All bathed with that pleasant sensation that represents look at bygone eras through a beautician and maximalist prism.

Fanny packs and bow ties feature prominently in this extravagant campaign in which we find a teleportation and even a romance between a human and an alien.
