Flip-flops have transcended their wardrobe roots to become a cool option to go out during the summer.

More and more designers who, focusing on them like normal shoes, include them in their collections.

Everything indicates that flip flops are here to stay. Looking ahead to spring / summer 2018, Dolce & Gabbana opted for some resounding black hair flip flops.

The Italian firm underlines the versatility of this type of footwear, combining them with ripped jeans, joggers, shorts and even dress pants.

If the hair seems too much for you, you will always have the traditional rubber flip flops, which were introduced in the early 70s.

However, its design has evolved. Designers like Alessandro Michele put them more robust and serrated soles, to provide greater traction and support.

Even Adidas has reinterpreted its classic three-striped flip flops to adapt them to the new times. A touch of velvet detracts from relaxation, although they do not lose their sporty spirit. And that is precisely one of its strengths in the current athleisure context.

Many celebrities are helping to strengthen rubber flip flops as street footwear, as well as inspiring us about their potential uses and their combination possibilities.

David Beckham chooses to include them within a relaxed look instead of adding more elegant pieces. A look that we encourage you to consider for go shopping for the newspaper and things like that, although not to go to lunch.
