Cuba is very famous for the taste of its population for drinks, such as rum or cane, but if we have to mention the quintessential Cuban drink, indisputably this place is occupied by the Cuban mojito.

This is because the mojito is a perfect summer drink, ideal to savor at lunch or at night, with the incentive that with the following recipe you can prepare some tasty Cuban orange mojitos.


  • 1 ½ rum
  • 1 ounce of lemon juice
  • 1 ounce of gum syrup
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur
  • 5 mint leaves
  • 3 orange slices
  • Ice
  • White soda


  • The orange mojito is a drink that is prepared directly in the glass; more specifically in a long glass, type collins.
  • Start by placing two orange slices in the bottom, followed by the lemon juice, syrup, and mint leaves, in this order.
  • Mash these ingredients a little with the help of a fork or mortar.
  • Now pour in the rum and orange liqueur.
  • Add three ice cubes, and complete the contents of the glass with white soda.
  • Decorate with the remaining orange slice.
